Jill Hedley MBACP (Accred) and MNCPS (Accred Registrant) is a Psychotherapist, Educationalist, Trainer, Life Coach and Supervisor.
Jill is a multi-skilled practitioner whose experience spans over 30 years of social care, counselling skills, pastoral care and counselling/psychotherapy experience.
Her psychotherapy experience is vast which ranges from Bereavement, Anticipatory Grief, Domestic abuse, Adult Survivors of childhood experiences of Abuse, Workplace Stress, Anxiety, Depression and Panic Attacks. Her key areas of interest are Grief work via other forms of loss, for example, fostering, adoption, health issues, sudden restricted financial mobility and the anxiety and stress this can cause, redundancy, pre birth and post birth death, infertility and enabling childless couples to explore the loss that is experienced with this.
Jill trained as an Integrative practitioner.
This Integrative blended style of working is enhanced with Person Centred; Gestalt; Existentialism; Psychodynamic approaches of Transactional Analysis and Attachment theory; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy; Mindfulness and Neuroscience Theories.
As well as her psychotherapy work, Jill has also been employed as a lecturer in counselling teaching level 1 (beginners level) up to level 5 (practitioner level) programmes across Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, South Tyneside and Northumberland area for the past 15 plus years. Jill also works as a qualified supervisor and Life Coach.
Jill is an accredited registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and an accredited registrant of the National Society for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
